Welcome to the Ottawa Valley Aquarium Society (OVAS)

The Ottawa Valley Aquarium Society (OVAS) is a non-profit, educational, and recreational organization. It has four main objectives to further the study of all forms of aquatic life, to promote interest, exchange ideas, and distribute information concerning the hobby, to encourage breeding and displaying of aquatic life, and to work toward the conservation of endangered species.   Click Here to find out more about OVAS.   Club meetings are held at 7pm on every 4th Monday of the month at the J.A. Dulude Arena - Mel Baker Hall, located at  941 Clyde Avenue. Everybody is welcome! The OVAS operates this website and the bulletin for the local aquatic community. The board may be used by all people whether they are OVAS members or not.  However, uploading pictures to your private Photo Gallery and extended use of the classifieds is limited to club members.

OVAS is a member of the Canadian Association of Aquarium Clubs (CAOAC).

22. February 2010 General Club Meeting with Robert Wright (President of CAOAC)

Robert will be doing a short promo for the upcoming CAOAC 2010 convention in May, followed by a presentation on "Livebearers".

28. November 2009 Christmas Banquet

OVAS has held a xmas banquet this year for the first time. It was a great evening spent with friends and yummi food.

26. September 2009 Garage Sale / Membership Drive.

It was great to see so many of you there, the attendance exceeded our expectations by far. We could welcome 50 new and old members to the club, an estimated 150+ people showed up during the morning.
