My oh My
Busy evening !
I was looking at my Reef.....I knew I had an unwanted crab in there...black with hairy legs....well he was on the hunt tonight....and he ended up being the one hunted.
Now I just like to get confirmation of is Identity

I have to agree that he look like an emerald but he's black with hairy legs. Not very agressive....The kids played with him on the kitchen table for 10-15 min and he never tried to pinch anyone....maybe resistance is futile ?
Perhaps AZ or Redbelly will be better judge to what he is ?

Red elbow joints are the big tipper. If they have red in the inside of the joint, they're related. I have 2 greens and a red. They come in brown, tan, and black too. I don't see any red in that one's elbow, though.

I'd like to know the ID of this guy too.
Back in November of last year we pulled one of these guys out of our display and gave him a new home in the sump. Last week I found him in there. Still doing well. He looks exactly like this one in your pic. Same size too.
