Has anyone ever tried this?
So far I can only see the females carrying some eggs.

Nice tank.  You should have great success.  I have actually done a food container with just lighting in the room, java moss, no filter or air, and they still breed.

Nice scape Enrico! Looks real good for the Aquastyle- what size is that? Moss, Mini Pellia , anubias? What else?

I've got something similar in 7g with just cherries, no heater, just HOB filter and it's thriving. Nice job.

Hi everyone, thanks for the kind words!
Yes, I was very close on closing down all my tanks but decided not to  ;)
Right now I am only going for low tech/maintenance tanks.

The tank is an Eheim Aquastyle 9, 1'x1'x1', 9gal.
I have some left over plants from my 75gal when I shut down the CO2.
- Regular Pellia
- Mini Pellia
- Xmas moss
- Taiwanese moss
- Phoenix moss
- Golden Anubias
- Anubias Petite
I don't fertilize the tank nor adding CO2. The lighting is what comes with the kit.

Not a rare thing since our Ottawa water is very soft and also depending on where the source of those shrimp from its not unheard of.
