Got Fish?

Hey Albert. My question is as above. A customer can't seem to keep cleaner shrimp alive. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this.

Thanks David.

Are there predators in the tank that attack the shrimp after it has gone through a molt ?

Or is he Hob not providing the Shrimp with additional food as the nutrition from  cleaning is in many cases not nearly enough for the shrimp to survive on especially if there are only few fish in he tank

Or is the Iodine level in the tank too low  ... which could be due to the brand of salt used ...

All those are possible reasons

Got Fish?

Thanks Albert. I mentioned iodine but he wasn't sure. I'll ask more questions and see what he says.  ;D

Sounds like a plan ... normally one does not need to dose iodine but if one does not use a high quality salt that may become necessary, not all the time but around molting time, especially if one has more than one iodine consumer in the tank
