Just recently bought an good size (6"+) L014 sunshine pleco.

He is doing great, eating like a pig but there is one tiny little problem...he has taken a liking to my aquarium seals.

Seems to be more focus on the corners, I think he's trying to dig a cave or something.

I've put pieces of slate and stone to discourage him but he is persistent.  I've even tried to overfeed him to try and break this habit, but to no avail.  If you've seen the teeth on these critters you will understand my concern.

Any advice to try and break this habit or should i not even worry about it.  I just have nightmares of waking up one morning to find 120 gallons of water all over the floor. :(

ps: my tank is setup as blackwater biotope so there is tons of large pieces of wood in there for him to chew on!

not sure what type of wood you have, my plecos love the Mopani wood I have in my tanks

Have you tried a pleco cave, male's love caves. (man cave)
Just make sure you get one big enough to fit his head and
at lease most of his body in.
