A very interesting talk this evening from Eleonore Schmidt about the Profundulus oaxacae in Mexico.

Eleonore mentioned that Victor Ortiz Cruz has a website dedicated to the species and his efforts to captive breed it and preserve the habitat etc.

I'm sorry but I found it a poor presentation....
If this is what the club expects to increase interest in the fish hobby with a younger demographic, game over
I sat in the back of the room, maybe 20-25 people present
3 people were sleeping and 5-6 people were on their phones the whole time
Poor presentation, poor pictures....... the presentation was poor
80% of the people present were 55+- there were 2 speakers for sound but the speaker didn't use a micro, I am guessing but nobody heard much

I  apologize for the Club as part of the problem with the presentation was the Clubs fault.
In the transition from the old exec to new exec the cables for the speakers and amp went missing.
Our President went home to see if he had any cables and did not make it back in time.
We will track these down and have the Sound system working for the next meeting.
