Absolutely want to add my thanks to Greg for hosting Plantaholics 2.0 , even if I always leave his place with a serious case of plant envy ... gives me a target to shoot for in my own tanks  ;D

Good to see every one, old and new, and some interesting, lively and informative discussions + very good pizza's made for an awesome afternoon.

Looking forward to getting the Montreal crew up for a visit in a couple of month's ...

Yes a big thank-you to our excellent host and another big thank-you for all that attended!  Great to get together with others that have similar interests and to have the opportunity to learn from everyone's collective trials and tribulations!

Thanks Greg!

Is it toonlate to attend? Ive got an empty dry 90g waiting to be filled with plants. Fake ones just dont...work.

I just read this post and don't remember you being here. However, I've got lots of stuff at one time or another. Describe what you are trying to do and I'll see if I can contribute some plants. I'm between major cuttings at the moment but will let you know before I do next if you pm me.

I just want to add that this last Plantaholics was fantastic, and all because just about everyone attended, all except the Honeymooner of course!!!! We had old faces, new faces and the regular faces. At one point I looked around and there were five serious 'Planatholic' discussions going on at the same time. Everyone seemed to get into it. Glad everyone liked the pizza. I made 12 altogether that day, and, could you believe it - the pizza plate broke as I was finishing the very last one - karma was good all day.
I'd like to thank charlie, exv152, daworldisblack, zolta, tanksalot, lucius and Vic666 for sharing your expertises. Lucius was very kind to bring plants, terrific, thanks Brian. Glad to see ajm1961 back in the fold again, and that pm is still with us as well. Gilbotron was here for the first time and is a very welcome addition to the fold. And the new people: Kalemn and Ayden.h - the second two youngest newbies I've seen in the hobby so far, your enthusiasm is contagious; Pokki who drove in from Gatineau; poisson and friend who should never blush in public when someone mentions being embarrassed about their tanks (we all are at one time or another); barefoot_golfer who lives nearby and shouldn't be a stranger in my house. And a special comment to nemo14 who has a terrific knowledge of planted tanks and came all the way from Hawksbury to attend: I'm thrilled to have another PPS devotee with which to discuss that stuff. So, thank you, everyone who came and made this Plantaholics Get Together one to remember. Cheers to all. If I've left anyone out, I apologize, the house was very full and I tried to write down all the names before people left but I fear I may have missed some. See you all next time.

Oh, I forgot one thing: The name of the Bucephalandra variety everyone got is 'Arrogant Blue'. If you got one from my other tank before the Plantaholics it's called 'Monteyana brown red silver powder'. And you must all realize that this plant is still being researched; they don't know if these are different species or just variants of the same species. So at the present time they are being called 'variants' until their lineage can be determined. Also, the most local expert with this plant, I would think, is Jason at Critter Jungle.

No problem on the plants.  Hope they are doing well for everyone.

The Arrogant Blue buce is still adapting in my 90 gallon.  It has grown one leaf so far.

No Greg, you're the buce expert in this city.  ;)

I'm disappointed that I missed this one, however it was for good reason! I was away in Africa on my Honeymoon. I am very eager to take part in the next get together and would very much like to have our friends from Montreal down.

While I was away on Honeymoon Wolfiewill not only looked after my tanks, but did an overhaul on my planted 90 gallon tank. It was horribly overgrown and in desperate need of some TLC. With the wedding and a new job recently I had been neglecting it. Thanks for taking on the challenge! Next time I head out of town I will absolutely hire you to look after my tank!

No, really. I'm just passing on the knowledge I gained from the web and Jason.... and mostly Jason.

Hey, most of the troubleshooting was blind luck. But wait 'till you hear the story. I thought I'd shorted out the entire neighbourhood by unplugging one thing! But I didn't. A power outage happened 1 second after I unplugged it!!! Totally random event. I lost years off my life in the panic that followed. EVERYTHING WENT QUIET......WTF.
