At one of the clubs earlier meetings,i asked if the members had any ideas on how we can improve our presence / memberships.
One member reached out suggesting we helped with a  tank to a rural school in our area. That member is Kieth aka "Box Jockey", the school is  St. Michael`s Catholic School in Douglas Ontario, the Exec. discussed it and was happy to get involved by donating a new 15 Gallon Aquarium, air pump, sponge filter, tubing and gravel.
Kieth has agreed to be responsible coordinating  the set up and maintenance of this tank with the kids.
This gesture , fits into our objectives as a club and made possible by our financial membership who support the club with their membership dues.
Quote2. OVAS is a non-profit organization with the following objectives:

a) to establish a local network of hobbyists allowing for the positive and amicable exchange of experiences, ideas, information and resources;
b) to promote local area interest in the hobby;
c) to provide resources and opportunities for both novice and experienced hobbyists to further their
understanding and to encourage their study of aquatic life; and,
d) to raise awareness on the conservation of endangered species and preservation of aquatic
environments.
We look forward to the updates in the "FreshwaterTank Builds"
