I just noticed they are starting to take reservations for the Caoac Convention.

http://www.caoac.ca/convention.html

They have not finalised the Speakers yet, but you can purchase your ticket and book your hotel room now. And if you do so before April 20th you will be entered into a draw for a beautiful painting from Ken McKeighen valued at $600.00. From Fri May 18 to Sun May 20.

I know I am going again this year, Mainly I love taking the train and I have close friends near by so an excuse to visit and take the train, with a bonus to maybe get some cool fish.

Any one else thinking of going.

I am also planning on going.

I will of course be looking for someone to share a room with there as well. I can drive and take 3 others with me, so we can just split the travel costs.

From a self serving point of view, would have been more appealing if there was a plant expert presenting  :D

I think this is the convention that Frank Agguire said that there is a Biotope Aquascaping Contest. Can anyone verify this?

Hey Charlie,

Make that suggestion to CAOAC for next year :)

Years ago, one of the speakers was Rudy Kern, a plant expert and Tropica Rep in Canada, so it is possible ;)

Just want to see if anyone else is interested in going down for CAOAC?
Still a few weeks to get in on the early bird prices.

I am looking for someone that wants to carpool and share a room.
I plan to go down nice and early Friday morning so that we can hit a few stores on the way in, maybe pop out to Larry's place in Hamilton and Big Al's Hamilton as well.

Jody

Hi all
If anyone is thinking about going down for the convention, let me know. I can still squeeze a person or two into the car and can probably figure out a cot for 1 person anyways.
