Hiya folks,

OVAS will be hosting a Pig Roast and Pot Luck in a couple of weeks.

Saturday June 15th, 2pm to 8 pm
Cartwright Springs Brewery
Eating time 3-4 pm
Cost: $5 a person if you bring a dish for potluck, or $10 a person if not.
Open to members and non-members
Membership drive - this will be the first drive for the 2019-2020 season

If you are interested in carpooling, I know some of the members have offered space in their vehicles, and others may need rides. Please feel free to mark down if you are able to carpool, and how many you can take, or if you need a ride, and hopefully we will be able to get a lot of people out there.

I will be going up around 9am to get the pig on and I have space for 2 more people if anyone is interested in making a day of it and helping out cooking the pig.

Is that seat for me? :)

I will likely go if I can get a ride. However my kitty is currently ailing and I may have to cancel if he goes downhill.

Long range forecast is rain.
Is the dinner indoors or outdoors?
Do we need rain gear, lawn chairs?

Christianloug

Sadly me and my family won't be able to make it

Gilbotron

Event is occurring rain or shine.

There is space indoors to sit/eat if there is rain, but hopefully we can eat outside and enjoy a little slice of summer!

Please bring your camping chairs as there will not be a lot of outdoor seating available. Also, if you have a folding/outdoor table you can bring, it might come in handy.

Jody

Hi all,
I have 1 member in the kanata area looking for a ride.
I can pass his number on to you if you can offer him one.

Thanks
Jody

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Pig Roast & Pot Luck on the weekend and made it a huge success!

Despite the crummy weather we made the best of it and had some great food, great beer and great conversation!

A special thanks goes out to everyone that brought a dish for the pot luck. They were all excellent and allowed us to have lots of variety.

Thanks All - Looking forward to having another one next year!
