Title: Fromia Star Fish
Post by: 10gnano on June 06, 2009, 04:22:55 PM
Hey guys and gals

I was just at my local sw store and i bought a new star fish. I bought a Fromia star, he is a purple/red and i noticed that he has 6 legs instead of five. whats up with that. any info i can find says that all stars have 5 legs. is this guy a circus freak or what?

Personally, i hate their web information format... but the info is good... well everything Ive read seemed good to me...

There's a load of info there... and again, all saying 5 legs are the norm... you might have a freak, new species, or something comletely different... also confirmed that they do not *split* to reproduce... just fyi...

Waste water streams from various plants always have something extra in them. This I know personally!

is this in your 10g nano? he won't last long. fromia starfish along with linkeas are better left in the ocean. not to rain on your purchase but starfish are basicall doomed from the get go unless you have a LARGE mature tank and even then its a crap shoot.
