Hey guys,
Thought I would share a couple shots of my ~2 month old project.
I'm a workaholic and have been out of the SW game for a little bit, so I figured I'd bounce back with a little tank on my desk that I can fiddle with while I work. Only problem now is the thing is distracting me too much... I just stare at it all the time hehe.
Being a small tank I decided to go "all out" and go with the sump and skimmer route, also to add more water volume and a tad bit more overall stability.
I'll post progress as I go along, but if you have a pico or nano... post your pics too! Happy reefing!

wow very nice idea. im almost interested in doing something like that. seems like it would be high maitenence because of such a small water volume tho. can you add specs? like lighting, sump size (or pics), looks like thats a drilled 2.5G.... u buy it like that?
nice office too BTW! Dual screens--*Drule*
Edit: fixed my error (1.5g -> 2.5g)
Looks awesome I want to do one of these too, maybe a 5 gallon version. What lights are you running on it?
Wow it looks awesome! Good job.
What distro are you running?

Geek! ;-b
Looks like Windows Vista or 7 to me from the windows logo on the left screen's taskbar. Ok, I'm a geek too!
A.W.E.S.O.M.E. on the pico... I wonder how people at work would react if I had that on my desk!
It's Windows 7 hehe
The specs on my setup are in my sig. As for the lights, it's a Coralife 2x 18w PC which I retrofitted into a little wood hood I made quickly.
I drilled the tank myself, I used a 3/4" "bulkhead" I found at Home Depot, it's like a electrical wiring conduit for cardboard boxes.
The glass on these 2.5's is VERY thin so I used a dremel and slowly made the hole - took a little while but worked pretty well.
thanks 95cx, i may have a project in the summer :-)
honestly, that is the best looking office setup i`ve ever seen....granted, it is the only office set up i`ve seen :)
A couple more changes.
I decided to move the tank on the other side of my desk and have a better sump (20g long). I had some old lighting (2x65w PC and 175w MH SE) so I retrofitted that. I'm also keeping this sump clean, so I built frag racks since I'd like to get into propogation.
Now I need to organize the wires a little better, and setup some more powerheads. I also want to build a front "canopy" that would hide all the lights.
Here are some pics:
