Does anyone here own a "Stingray" aquarium stand as sold by BigAlsOnline? I'm looking at the larger ones, for ~60 gallon tanks.
I'm mostly interested to hear about overall finish, sturdiness, and build quality.
The woodworking in me thinks I could make something much better, but it would also take me ages (I don't have a lot of free time these days), and would likely cost me double considering the price of wood, stain, varnish, etc.
Thanks in advance!

The only saving grace is that they are quick and easy. They are shoddy pieces of overpriced crap, IMO. That being said I have one under my 75G.

LOL... I'll make note. Thanks!
they are quick and easy :) used to have one as well under a 75! never any problems with it :)
They do what they are intended to do and are structurally sound, but I don't like them because of the way they look. I prefer something more substantial and elegant under my aquariums.
I have them for my 120, my 110 and my 55... I like people to look at my tank, not my stand, so as long as it's not distractingly ugly I don't care really. I don't find them too unattractive, but they've been holding up thousands of pounds for almost 5 years now.
They seem like the cheapest alternative to using a metal stand, aside from building your own or buying used. I use one under two of my tanks. The black looks decent and they hold up the tank without any problems, with decent storage space. Not the best, but no complaints!
