Don't seem to have the new topic tab in the classified section
Is there something I need to do?

The Classifieds are restricted to posting by OVAS members. You are welcome to join OVAS, and then you would enjoy all the benefits of a membership, including a discount at local Fish stores, in addition to full website functionality.

This new rule just weakened the classified section and OVAS in general.

I guess usedottawa, kijiji, and craigslist will take your web traffic.

Your right usedottawa, kijiji, and craigslist will take up the sales aspect, but good luck finding the information you need or the help to conquer a problem with your aquarium which is what this site and club is about.

OVAS needs web traffic ;D?

This website is nothing more than an extension of an in-person club, designed to give members a place to share between meetings, for visitors to get information and help for their issues.

Web traffic is for companies that use the internet to make money.

OVAS is a non-profit organization.

I would but I just got back into the hobby after a long break. And I don't agree with the way the club is going. I will stick to other sites for posting my things for sale.

I won't join either I did by choice but not cause I had to, to use the classified ads so when my membership was over I never joined again seems kinda strangle hold to me....

There is an on going discussion on this topic. The O/P just wanted to know where the 'New Topic' link was? I think those posting here are creating stress on the exec. The other thread has been left to continue even though it was stated by the exec. it is reduntent. So IMHO let's keep the classified issue discussion over there it will make it easier to follow and have more consideration to be heard - I feel.
