Title: Anyone have experience growing plants out of aquariums?
Post by: noahcw on July 07, 2020, 11:55:10 AM
I'm looking to grow pothos from one of my tanks, in a sort of hydroponics way, but i'm not super sure how to set it up. Does anyone have any advice or experience with this?

Super easy plant to grow.

Take non clear jar, fill it with old tank water, place root of pothos in it. Place it near window.

Refill water as needed

Thanks for the reply, I don't think i explained it super well, I want to keep the roots of the plant in the aquarium itself, and have it grow over top. Sorry for the confusion.

Gotcha.
You can just put the root end into your hob.

If you don't have one, go to the dollar store and buy a sponge holder. They suction cup into the inside of your tank, and hold the pothos nicely.
