Title: Dutch aquascape
Post by: Gowalkitoff on May 19, 2021, 12:59:49 PM
Does anyone here do Dutch style aquascaping?  I am debating getting into this.  What reference material for rules do you follow?  I know I would need fluvial stratum, though do you need CO2?  Do you incorporate wood? Do you also keep fish or only use the aquarium as an underwater garden? Is a low tech approach possible?

Here is my current "dutch". Didnt really follow any rules just used plants I enjoyed and found colourful and placed them where I found fitting. I use CO2 and a chihiros vivid 2 light from aquariumco2.ca . I think from my experience it would be possible to do a dutch without CO2 but itll be much harder to get the same colours and good growth so chose plants accordingly. I also have some driftwood in there but itll eventually be covered in Buce
