Starting up a new 55g with all new substrate, decorations etc BUT will bring over one of my external eheim canisters from existing 30g tank.
For the new ornaments & substrate - is there any value in putting them in existing tank to get bacteria on them?
OR will the old filter on the new tank be sufficient to quickly establish bacteria in tank on any substrate /decorations?
(I'm not bringing over old substrate - it's black and I want a lighter colour)
