What type of substrate do you guys use in your planted tanks or does the difference really matter as I am thinking of using Big Al's Natural Multi Gravel. It's not bad and I like the look of it. thanks

Big Al's Natural is a little big... I don't much like it for plants...

I use either sand or Flourite.
