Hey,

OK, so as I was installing my new glass canopy and cutting the middle brace this morning  and I realised that the middle part of the aquarium was bowing.  I know it's normal to some extent because of the  weight of the water but I was wondering at what point should I be concerned.

My tank is 36x12.5(w)x18(h) and I have a .7mm bow in the middle. Normal or cause for concern?

Thanks,
chiefs

Could you elaborate on which middle brace you were cutting, is it the middle brace that the tank came with (plastic piece from the back to the front of the tank.)

I was cutting the plastic thing that comes with the glass canopy.  It is striclty use to hold the canopy and nothing else.  I didn't alter my tank in any way.

The tank doesn't have any supporting braces ... and never has ...

Thanks

charlie

In that case i would`nt worry too much.
