Hi Marx,

Looks like you are sending a man to the Moon...
This is not a rocket science and you are doing everything too seriously...

dpatte

stick to doing the cycle - when thats done, do a water chance and your nitrate will be down decreasing greenness - this is all normal.

Marx

i have no nitrates.. and cycle is now done.. ammonia 0 and nitrites are now 0..

Marx

thanks all.. All green water is gone... added Hortwort and some iron supplement.. and poof its gone.. 2 days crystal clear..

tank is cycled...

also all readings are perfect except my 6.4-6.6 ph..

should i still do 90% water change?

ok would 50% be good enough?

or any other suggestions!!!

Thanks for all your help and advice!!!

BigDaddy

I would do as large a water change as possible, just because your kH is probably non-existant from the driftwood for the past few weeks.  This will ensure your tank water is as close to your tap water parameters as possible, so you don't shock your fish the NEXT time you do a waterchange.

Marx

ok.. Thanks bigdaddy i never thought of that..
