I picked up a webcam on sale and thought I try it on a fish tank.  I'm not overly impressed with the resolution and plan on returning it this weekend.  Anyone that is thinking about doing this can take a look and make thier decision if its worth it.  Currently viewing a 2gal with Momma Rock Krib and about 20 fry.  Enjoy.

NOTE: I'm turning it off tonight at 10pm so the link won't work after that.

Looks fine to me as well.  I also have a web cam at one end of my tank, but some folks have had trouble connecting.  Actinics are on, hylides come on from 2 till 8pm.  Let me know if it works.

Any particular reason you are using port 1024?? Have you forwarded that port on your router?

That's the set-up configured by some Lynsis support tech in New Delhi.  It has worked remotely and works fine in my home network.

worked for me... either my connection is slow though (took a couple hours to get into OVAS tonite) or you should drop the refresh rate down to like every 5 seconds possibly, to increase the resolution of the images.

if u add me to msn you can view my tank via cam.
