Rummynose is loosing red...

Hy, it started a couple days ago when my rummynose started loosing their red.
one has all its fully colored red, the other has almost none.(i bout them 14 days ago)
What could be going on? :?
80- 5 Tropheus Brichardi Malagarasi
55- Planted Communnity
35- Discus/Angel Community
10- Breeding tank

Rummynose can lose their colour if the water quality is poor.  I would check your water parameters to make sure they are good.  

Stress is another factor. It could be caused by the water or the tankmates depending on whatv you have in there.

Rummy nose are known as "indicator fish" as they lose their red nose if the water is even slightly degraded.

Do a waterchange.

Also keep in mind that rummy-noses like soft acidic water. If your pH raises, their colors will fade. I keep my pH at 6.7 (electronically controlled CO2 injection) and the fish is bright red. Except in the evening... :) As soon as the lights are out, they loose all their reds. But this is normal.
