Wild caught Africans at BA's

Hi,
I thought the African cichlid addicts on here might want to know there's some really nice w/c at big Al's. Some fish I've only seen pictures of in books. Its worth the trip to see them even if you can't afford to buy any.  I Talked Don into letting it be his birthday present, if he picked out a trio.  It was so hard to decide on one species! We ended up getting A. hueseri. To verify their w/c status I made sure to get the scoop on the shipment. They are direct from Stuart Grant, Salima Malawi (Nairobi to Montreal flight). I saw the packing boxes for them, and even a signed stamp of a fisheries Dept worker. in Salima.
Now to keep the little beauties alive and hopefully get some F1 fry!

That is so cool Sue, i too hope you post some pictures.

Did you get to keep the signed stamp? Could become a collector's item, and if nothing else, you could hang it over the tank like a certificate of interest.

The fish are starting to settle in, but the male isn't eating yet and isn't at full color, so I'm a bit worried about him. I may have to go and buy something more tasty than flake or pellet food!

yes I would get some of the frozen food, and if they have any ghost shrimp grab some of them, it takes a while to get them used to non live foods some times, lol even put some snails into the tank they will eat them aswell

I just wish they would come in with the w/c Tang cichlids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been buggung  them for like a month an a half!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
