I am thinking of getting some angelfish.  Does anyone know the genetics on koi angels?  Or know an online article on angel strains?  I have a book but it is pretty dated.  Thanks for any help.

A more computery person found a site for me with all the info.  In case I am not the only one interested, here it is:  http://theangelfishsociety.org/genetics.htm

Excellent link - the late Dr. Norton is my fish Hero in fact.  She was studying fish genetics when fish genetics weren't cool.  We lost an amazing member of the hobby when we lost her.  I'm not even into Angelfish and I found her studies on them interesting.  She's my personal hero for her research and development surrounding Livebearers (she founded the American Livebearer Association).  Point being, you won't find a more reliable source. :)

When it comes to Koi, if you like the Koi with lots of red/orange then the best source to my knowledge is Mellow Aquatics.  They're in the middle of a move at the moment, but you can still read their genetics info and drool over their gallery  :o .  Their Koi and the genetics behind them was featured on the cover of TFH Mag.

Hey Melody - Thanks for the link.  Those are amazing angels.  Now I can obsess over the articles AND the pictures.  I can't imagine what will be around in another few years.

With all of the reading you're doing, maybe you'll be the one who has the Angels to beat by then  8).
