Can I have to much filtration on my tank.
I have a 55 gallon and am buying a Fluval 404 which is good for up to 100 gallons. Would this be to big or would I be ok?

And second I noticed that some people have pictures under their names. How can i add one for myself?

Thanks

Aiglos

You can never have too much filtration.  its impossible.
I run 2 filters on my 55 gallon, I have oscars but still,  over filtering is not a problem at all.

I can't awnser your next question though.

Too much filtration isn't a problem.. too much CURRENT can be.

For example, if you had two very powerful HOBS on your tank (like say two AC500), then it might blow around plants and fish alike.

Some canister filters will allow you to control the output... I'm not sure if Fluval is one of them.
