Well, I am in the middle of a move and the new place is not painted yet...needless to say that since im paying for both places for a month I left the tanks in the other place and stop by daily for feeding (its only 10 mins).

Well, Monday morning I stopped by and EVERYTHING in my 55g is dead except the pleco and the sae.

I couldnt figure out what was going on. The 35g was fine.

Well, wouldnt you know it, the heater got unplugged while some of the guys were moving some shelves and my dear husband (he didnt know) turned the heat all the way down as we wouldnt be there...

So now i have an empty 55g, its really sad but there is nothing i can do about the fish i pulled out that morning.

So im on to new ideas.

I want to do a community tank with frogs, fish and newts.....any thought? Im not sure where to start.

Firebelly newts, african dwarf frogs and neons were what I had in mind but im not sure if that is a feasibly combination. I know there are some newt and frog people out there....any thought?

Am i dreaming? What other fish could i put in there or what amphibians would do better?

I am sad about losing everything but this is a good chance for me to start my tank over and do it right so im going for it!

Sorry to hear about your loss. I have (and kind of still am) lost 10 now due to bloat. :(

I know nothing about what goes together and what doesnt so I will step aside and let the pros advise you. :) Good luck!

Here are some attractive options  :)
Your paludarium sounds like a great idea!  I hear the biggest problem is condensation on the glass, perhaps that's why some are open lidded.....
