I just set up DIY moonlight. I pulled one of those solar powered ones off my front yard. took it apart and stuck it under my lighting. It looks great the LED is yellow and not to dark not to bright,So far so good. If the lights during the day arent strong enough to charge the batteries I'll run the little solar panel to the window. I think I'll do one at each end of the tank

I use a nightlight that has a light sensor, almost two years with the same bulb. :)

I just made some and mounted them into my fixture...

I used

- 2 12" cold cathode ray tubes
- inverter
- pliers
- lighter
- heat shrinks
- 9V 1.0A AC/DC adapter

I took pictures and posted it into this thread:

The lights are too bright for my tastes.  I will have to find a different adapter.  Anyone know where I can find an adjustable adapter?
