I do not have city water or sewers, thus have well and septic systems.

When I clean out my tank/filter media I am farily certain snails/snail egss are being washed down the drain into the septic tank.

Does anyone know if the snails will survive/thrive in the septic tank and if so will do they do any harm?

Most of them will perish, those that don't, like all good B flicks from the 1950's, will become mutants and just like the alligators in New York, come back to haunt you one day.

I believe that will only happen if you accidentally flush some form of radioactive waste.....or if your septic system is on an ancient Indian Burial ground.
