i noticed this morning that there were two red things in my betta tank. they came from the female and not the male ( they are separated). i have no idea what they are! they look like small organs, liver or kidneys maybe. they are a red color and sink to the bottom of the tank. does anyone know what these are, if they are bad and if they are bad how to stop them and help the betta. she seems fine ( even attacks my finger if i put it in!) and eats well. i have never seen them before and i am quite worried.

please help!

thanks.

Perhaps a Betta poop?  Is there a lot of red in it's food?

How big are we talking?

bettabreeder

i know that sometimes when my bettas eat a lot her poo will be big and weirdly shaped. i think that if you are feeding her pellets its her poo.

i have been feeding them flake and frozen blood worms, they are both red. ??? maybe that's it. it never happened before now, that's why i was so surprised.

thanks for the help.
