I was wondering if Endlers and Platies will crossbreed. If they do I won't mix them.

I would not recommend housing endlers with any other livebearer for many reasons, the potential to muddy the strain being one of them.

Endler's shouldn't cross with platies, but will cross with guppies

Thanks :)
I'm not trying to breed them but you know they are frisky little devils those endlers. ::)

Your platies would probably eat the Endler fry anyway, no?

I was reading a livebearer forum once and there were references to a molly/guppy (?) hybrid.  I'm going by memory, so I may be wrong on the species, but it was definitely a hybrid that was being discussed.  I recall that survival rates weren't great, but they were breeding.

I was kind of thinking that it might be a good thing to keep the population down because I have no more aquariums and am not going to get anymore. Really! ::) But I do dream of a nice 35 gal.
