Hi everyone,
We just bought a used 74G saltwater aquarium yesterday. It is close to 20 years old and when we took it apart yesterday to take it home, we noticed that the sealant looks a bit "used"! It does not leak at the moment but we were wondering if it would be a good idea to reseal everything before running everything again. Would you recommend any other maintenance?
Thanks

As we learned at yesterday's resealing workshop, anything over 15 years should be resealed especially if a marine tank as things in the water can eat at the silicone over time.  So the short answer is yes I would not take a chance and reseal it.

I guess that workshop would have been useful to me then !!

Maybe you could ask someone who took the workshop to reseal the tank for you.
Like PFG says "I miss this place and all the people associated with it."
