Sorry to interupt....  If I remembered correctly, that quick connect adapter is for hot water..  There isn't one for cold water...  At least in my house...  Better double check just to be sure...

It attaches to the actual faucet, so hot OR cold water (or both!). :D

Sorry, I'm running a bit of a fever right now, and seem to be in a really weird mood...

One of the first things I bought after getting my python was the metal adapter that goes between the t valve and the tap, never had a thread problem after that.

Some suggestions on saving water:

In the basement syphon into a drain, on the other floors syphon into a toilet, can't see many people having tanks lower than that.

don't really want to spoil the fun, but why aren't any of you guys doing gravity water change, instead of wasting water from the faucet??

it's simple, easy, no need to stress watching the python, to make sure nothing breaks, and on top of that you will be saving water!

I only add water with the Python as I have a Fluval FX5 and it drains the tank for me.

Trying something new.
Hooked up my python hose to a maxi-jet 1200 to do a water change on my other tanks.
Cut down on wasted water.

Works pretty good on the twenty and the seventy-five and a whole lot quieter and quicker..

If it works maybe in the summer use the aquarium water to water garden.
