hello ya'all
 I have a question for anybody who wants to help me.
 Is there such a thing as having too much CO2 in a tank.?
 Yesterday I set a home made CO2 for my 10g  planted tank.
 few hours later the water was very cloudy and my guppies were swimming at the bottom of tank. I got worried a bit so I decided to do a 75% water change just in case. This morning guppies were alright "thank god" :oops:  :oops: .
so is there a limitation on CO2?
THANK YOU. :(  :(

co2 shouldnt make the tank cloudy. did the yeast itself get into the tank?

David, couldn't too much CO2 increase bacterial activity?

ok first, lets check how much co2 you have in your tank

then go there: http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_plant_co2chart.htm

Green = Good CO2 levels
10-25ppm
Good CO2 levels are also shown in BOLD.
Yellow = High CO2 levels
Over 25ppm
Levels over 25 can be harmful to your fish
White = Low CO2 levels
Less than 10ppm

to remove co2...put o2 in the water by doing splash on thwe surface

Or, according to the same article, just stop adding CO2 and in few hours it will be on the usual level of 3-4 ppm...

yellowtang

thank you very much.
Yes.... I believe I got some yeast into the tank.
But......is there a level of having too much CO2?
