Here is a link to a site where they used two Python's to make a CO2 reactor.

One change I would make is to glue and silicone all pieces.

I want to make one but would prefer to have it clear so you can see what is happening.  This seemed like a great idea.  I have the top piece from an old Python I walked on and broke so all I really need is a new one and other parts to connect the CO2.

I guess my question is any opinions on what length of tube to get?  How much distance would it need to diffuse all the CO2?

I would inject the CO2 with a Sumo regulator setup.  Waiting to receive this.  http://www.sumoregulator.com/

I have a Reno XP3 cannister filter and will run the water into the reactor from the outlet end and into the top of the tube, route the water, from the bottom, back to the tank.

CO2 I would inject it about an inch or two from the bottom on the side of the tube so it is not forced out right away.  The bio balls are cheap as well.

Opinions?

Might be better if you posted in the DIY forum. ;)

I'll report it just so it gets moved there.
