In my 46 gal (36" long) reef I have 4 Maxi jet 1200's on a natural wave timer.  There are no dead spots, but the flow isn't too much.  Sometimes I have to be creative when positioning some types of corals like LPS, shrooms etc..

Go all out and get an MP20  :)

I ordered one from the group buy on nano-reef.com. I have a 30 long, 36 inches long x 12 x16 and I have 2 koralia 1s and flow from an aquaclear 110 fuge and I do not think it is enough.

In my 38G (36x12x20) I have 2 k2 at ether end and 2 MJ900 on wave timers I believe I have lots of flow in my tank. I love the VorTech pumps but they are pricy I think 2 K2 should be good for your tank.

i agree with xiaan. 2 x koralia2's would be perfect. I have a K3 and a MJ 1200 (33g- 36") and they are both way too strong for a 36". it was extremely difficult to arrange my pumps so it doesn't kick up the substrate. i ended up spending waaaaay more money than i needed to, and if I could, i would definitely be using 2 x koralia2's.

I have a 29G bowfront and I have 2 Koralia 2's at either end with a Koralia 1 in the middle shooting through the LR and it seems just perfect!
