Topfin 60 filter?

I have a Topfin 60 filter that did not come with filter pads.  I bought the pads at BA's, but there no instructions on how to insert them.  One side is black plastic and the other is blue foam.  May sound like a stupid question but should the blue foam face forward (towards the tank), so the water filters through the blue first or vice-versa.  I pretty sure that's how they should be inserted, but I hate assuming.

i have a HOB filter and the water paces throw the blue foam first and the plastic side holds some carbon, hope this helps.
