Octopus Skimmers are not made by Coral Vue?

Is it true that the Reef Octopus Skimmer are made by Shenzhen Hongya Aquarium Equipments Manufactory in China they just made a sole source deal with Coralvue and a Canadian place in quebec Marine something or other (there site never works anyway)

ALOT of aquarium stuff is made overseas and sold by US based companys and I mean ALOT.  even the ones that state ''assembled'' in the US still have the parts made overseas.
If you search on REEFCENTRAL theres many threads and debates on these skimmers and lighting.

regardless were there made there still an awsome skimmer for the price.

cool, very good skimmer   I remember a long time ago they were made for CORALVUE by SWC in WINNIPEG, and then sourced out overseas. who knows now LOL. but non the less a great skimmer for the price!

The Coralvue Octopus line of skimmers are made in China yes.
The Pro Series Octopus skimmers were made in Montreal by C&C Marine. They seem to have gone under though.
And the new Huricone line of skimmers is made within the US I believe.
