Everybody holding, help?

So,
it seems that many of my fish are holding, yellow labs, damesoni, red zebras and others.
It Must be Spring..... and I don't want to set up many more tanks.
Could I put all the holding females in one tank, and let them release there, or will the fry still get eaten by the moms?

If there are no hiding places you are likely to lose some I would think from my experience of leaving them in the tank.
