What is the cure time when using methylene chloride on acrylic rods

Brine

Methylene Chloride isn't actually an adhesive it is a solvent. It "melts" the PMMA (Acrylic) and allows pieces to be attached to each other. The Methylene Chloride almost immediately evaporates but the Acrylic doesn't solidify right away. Depending on the thickness of the material and the length of the joint the time will vary. As a general rule if I was making a sump or a tank out of 1/4" or so, I'd leave it for a couple of days just to be safe, but in reality it can be moved around within an hour or less.
