I have bred yellow labs and demasoni before. When a female was holding I would move her to her own tank with plenty of hiding places for the fry until she dropped them.

But now I have a large female acei holding. Should i do the same for her? I am just not sure since she is alot larger than labs or demasoni.
1 210g Asian Community planted fast water tank: balas, tiger & black ruby barbs, red-tail black shark, rainbows, loaches, SAEs, gold CAEs, 1500GPH river flow, plus 1500gph filtration.
1 75g African planted tank: 3 synos (had them since the 90s), yellow labs, kribensis.
1 40g breeder, silicone-divided into two - quarantine and nursery.

Yep, same process with most mouthbrooding cichlids. If she's larger though, make sure the tank is big enough that she doesn't get really stressed out and possibly hurt herself!
