so i was thinking...

Shallow sand bed about 1''
Some crush coral pieces
Chaeto


Good enough? Any other suggestions? Or lmk your set up.

Ditch the sand and rock... just cheato

Sand/Rocks are just places where detrius might build up... a clean bottom can be siphoned out easily... and you likely cannot put enough of those in with the fuge to increase biological filtration to the point where you can get increased bio-load...   A big harry ball of cheato will still grow the copods.. (mine does)... or if you must throw some rubble in.. .but IMO not necessary...

Also,  hook up a pump to a spray bar... put the spray bar in the fuge so that when the pump is on it tumbles the cheato-ball... put the pump on a timer... every day turn the ball...
