Ok, I havent received the rulebook from Colin yet, so I'm not sure on all the rules, but I will try to give a general idea of the program. The Breeder's Award Program (BAP) gives u a way to gain recognition for ur breeding efforts. It's governed by the Canadian Ass. of Aquarium Clubs (CAOAC) and u receive certificates when u reach certain objectives. For example. the Basic level of Recognition requires that usuccesfully breed at least 6 species of egg-laying fish, with at least 3 means of spawning (mouthbrood, bubble nest, scatter, substrate, etc). Intermediate level has a certain number of species of each group you must breed (I.e. 4 livebearers, 1 characin, 2 barbs, etc) -with some leeway- for a total of 16. At the next level, there are even more species, plus a number of target species from a list that must be bred.  Then, there are a number of Specialist Awards, for breeding a number of fish within a certain group, such as Rift Lake cichlids or livebearers. For example, livebearer Basic level requires 12 species bred, Intermediate 25 with at least 2 families represented, Merit 50 with other requirements, and Senior Merit requires 75 species with a number of requirements. There is also an Aquatic Horticulturist Award (with 5 levels), an Authorship award, and a few others.
Anyway, hope that explains the basics of the program, sorry if its a bit confusing, it's late and I had a long day. If u have any questions, post them on here or pm me and I will try to answer. If u see me say something in here that u know is blatantly incorrect, pm me and I will correct it.
Thanks
Matt

my brichardis have bred wice (two different pairs), by caudomaculatus have bred (a second pair), and I have bred my cherry barbs again (this time I have about 3 dozen fry).

As well, my other batches (cherry barbs and glowlights) are well over 60 days old now

Can I get a witness to drop by asap and sign my forms?
