Why are we salties so worried about MICRO BUBBLES? :-[

Seems to me they would provide more oxygen to the residents of the tank.  Or is this a NO-NO.

Fresh water tankers do it !  In spades.  Seems more is best - to their tanks.

We don't have as much planted stuff in salt water but it seems to me that all living things - at least on this planet - need some oxygen to survive.

Please remember that there is no such thing as a stupid question.  ::) ;)

Hookup

Not a stupid question at all.

There are two main reasons why I do not like microbubbles.

1) salt creep - the bubbles burst at the surface, creating a tiny splash, that over time, creates salt-creep from the water evap.
2) visibility - I want my water to look crystal clear, and the bubbles take away from that look if they are in the DT.

Vincenzo.

+1.

Salt creep is not to bad if u clean ur tank inside and out every second day or so...

But its a visual thing. Seeing bubbles takes ur eye from the prize.
