Eheim Pro 3 350/2073 cleaning mishap advice

Finally went to a canister filter over christmas and decided today I would give my prefilter a rinse.
Everything went well .. prefilter was not too bad. put it back together, hooked it up.

Sooooo is there something I am supposed clean that I missed? When I pressed the primer to get rid of the bit of air a BIG glob of "flakes" came out of the outlet and now I have a nice winter scene going on in my tank.     Wondering if the water Clarifier I used earlier this week is responsible.

I don't what kind of tank setup you have but it sounds normal to me. I do get the same after filter clean up, little bits/flakes coming out from the return hose. It will be clear after a couple hours or so.
