Picked up two clown loach last week. One seems to be fine, when it's not hiding. the other seems to hide (sideways) under the rock a lot. The odd time it isn't hiding, it's swimming sideways and upside down. Should I be concerned about this little guy, or is this normal?

thx.

Hi Jeff

Watch for their belly next time you buy a pair. Full belly usually a good sign. Also they are prone to ick when they are very young, 1"-2" in size.

yah, didn't really notice last week. Also 1st time I bought clown loach. Bit the bullet, and just bought 2 more from Big Als (on Innes. Closer to me). The color on these two is definitely more vivid than the other two...

Okay, I obviously need advice about these fish. last night (and this AM) they were swimming around quite active, perky, and vibrant in color. Tonight, I just got home, and 1 is passed on, and the other will be gone by tomorrow. This time, they're taking my raphael cat with them. They have a minor fuzzy growth on their rear fins that wasn't there this AM. The water temp is 75 deg; PH is 6.8. All other fish in the tank are (still) doing quite well... Help?

Jim

whats the tank size? maby treat it for ich.

What are your water parameters?
=Nitrite/Ammonia.
Loaches would be more comfortable at a slightly higher temperature.
