I have a 20 Gallon tank that has a fluorescent light with no reflector on it. I need to increase my light ability without having to change my light. Can anyone let me know what can be done? I have some plants in this tank that require a strong light. The light that I have is Zoo Med Ocean Sun 10,000K Fluorescent Lamp- 18".
PS. I can't see the blue emitions within this light.

Patience, it's only been a few hours.  It's better no answer than a bad answer.

If I knew the answer to your question I would answer, but I don't.

I have heard of ppl using tin foil as a reflector or p[ainting the underside white...other than finding an old top with a reflector on it I dont know about anything else!!

Hi,

You don't have enough light for most plants, reflector or not. The type or lamp makes no differnce -18 watts is 18 watts. Visit AHSupply.com for some excellent offers. A white surface is as good as tinfoil or aluminum.
