I remember a thread about bulbs from ebay and the quality of them. I think it was metal halide bulbs but I can't find the thread. Can someone who remembers the thread refresh my memory or the title of the thread? Or can anyone tell me their experience buying the MH bulbs from ebay? I dont' want to get a $6 bulb and have it burn down my house.

My experience with 600Watt MH / HPS bulbs from ebay.

Its hit or miss.

I have ordered several for my plant lights from ebay.  Out of the ones I ordered 25% of them died with in a month or 2.  one of them didn't fire out of the box and got replaced only to die 4 months down the road.
