Recall - AC70???

I was in Toronto last week and dropped by the Big Als in Scarborough.   They had recall letters posted all over the store, regarding AC70 filters that were on sale during Boxing Week (Ac70 sold in the brown cardboard boxes).

I was wondering if this recall affected filters sold in Ottawa, and what the issue was?

We haven't heard anything about this yet but if we do I'll be sure to post it up here ASAP.

The only thing is I'm unsure about is if this only applies to a batch of filters imported by BA in Scarborough, or all AC70s purchased in that timeframe - I actually bought two at BAs in Orleans. I have had no problems so far. Basically the filters (or that specific batch) are not CSA approved. Apparently only 84 units were sold in Canada - so it may very well be that only the ones sold in Scarborough are impacted.

In the link that is the Canadian head office contact I believe. I was trying to reach head office before that was the location I was pointed to.

If there CSA approved they would have a sticker on the cord.
