There is a small amount of light that does come in from a gap in the back of my canopy. But not much. I thought of this as well. It is not direct sunlight either

Well it came back. So I covered the tank with a quilt. And turned off the lights. How long should I leave it like this for. Keep in mind I do have some coals

What are you using for a water source?

Covering it up is only a temp fix.You need to find the source.

Too much feeding
too much light(hours)
not enough WC.
High levels in your tap water
