Aquarium Setup...

Hello all, i figured this is the best place to come for help!

Looking at getting into the planted aquarium hobby and had a few questions...

I would like to plant some Java Fern, weeping moss, and some dwarf saggitaria. Similar to the ones posted below (Sorry for the cross link)...

1. What type of fertilization do i need?

2. What size light would be decent for an approximate 20G tank? I currently have a 20W T8, probably not enough eh?

3. I will likely need to build a CO2 system, I don't want to spend $200+ if i don't need to. That being said, I am fairly handy and can build it. Just wondering where I can find the parts for cheaper.

4. I have Seachem Fluorite Black Sand (2 bags). IS this the proper substrate?

5. Best place for plants? I stopped in at Big Als today and their selection in the east end was dismal.

Thanks for your help. I just want to make sure my ducks are in a row so I don't go wasting money, even though it happens!

One of the best place for plants - come out to our Garage Sale and Membership drive.  At least one of our plant guru's will be there selling plants.
